All That Remains Guitarist Oli Herbert Has Passed Away at Only 44 Years Old

All That Remains guitar player Oli Herbert has passed away, the band announced in an Instagram post just moments ago. He was only 44 years old and had been with the band since their formation in 1998, playing on all of their albums. A cause of death has not been publicly revealed.

The band released the following statement:

“We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away.

“Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.

“No further details are available at this time. The band and family request that you please respect their privacy and remember Oli by celebrating the great music he made.”

This news is devastating to the metal community and unexpected. We will post an update if we learn any more information. On behalf of everyone at MetalSucks, we wish all of Oli’s family, bandmates and friends the best through this horrible tragedy.
