All That Remains Release New Song “Fuck Love” and It’s Really Heavy… and Good?!?!?

At this point I believe there exists a mutual understanding between MetalSucks and Phil Labonte that we are good for one another’s careers in spite of all the mud-flinging over the years. Don’t get me wrong, the guy is the ultimate fucking putz and his political views are absolute garbage — nothing we’ve ever said here on MetalSucks about him has been anything other than genuine, and I believe the same to be true from his side — but at some point I would like to shake the guy’s hand and say “Hey, nice work there, we did it!” If such an opportunity never arises, I’d at least like send him the absolute best Edible Arrangement money can buy.

With that in mind, I have nothing bad whatsoever to say about All That Remains’ brand new song “Fuck Love.” It’s easily the heaviest thing they’ve released in years (maybe ever??), with pounding rhythms and a searing riff that sounds like Nuno Bettancourt went mid-’00s metalcore (I mean that in a good way — you’ll hear what I mean when you listen). There’s big grooves all up in this bitch. And, most importantly of all, there is NO AUTO-TUNE! There’s not even any of that patented, nails-on-a-chalkboard Phil Labonte clean singing!!

I’m as likely to believe that ATR’s next album will consist solely of more tunes like this one as I am to think Labonte is suddenly going to renounce his prized collection of assault rifles and pledge allegiance to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, so I’ll just enjoy this one for what it’s worth.
