Korn Frontman Jonathan Davis’s Wife, Deven Davis, Has Died at 39 Years Old
Deven Davis, the wife of Korn frontman Jonathan Davis, died today at the age of just 39 years old. The couple had been married since 2004 and has two kids together, although they had fallen on tough times as of late; Jonathan had filed for divorce in October of 2016, although they appeared to be on better terms in recent months. No cause of death has been revealed publicly.
TMZ reports that Deven had struggled with drug addiction for 20 years and had recently been living in a sober home until last Friday, when she went missing. Jonathan had filed a restraining order against her today, August 17th — which was granted by the court but had not yet been served to Deven at the time of her death — claiming she’d been to rehab six times, “is constantly under the influence of the nitrous oxide, cocaine and Norco,” and had a drug dealer boyfriend who Jonathan recently found passed out on Deven’s couch when he came to drop off the kids at her house. In the restraining order, Jonathan alleged he found a heroin pipe and cocaine floating in the toilet bowl and found Deven passed out on the floor upstairs as well.
While the exact circumstances surrounding Deven’s death aren’t fully clear, there’s no happy ending or silver lining to this terrible story. We wish Deven and Jonathan’s families, friends and bandmates all the best in this difficult time. We will update this post as soon as we have more information.
