Elderly Men Escape from Nursing Home to Attend Wacken Festival

Whatever the inspiration, DW.com is reporting that two elderly men escaped a nursing home in northern Germany on Friday to attend the Wacken Open Air festival. The nursing home alerted authorities once they realized the men were missing. The men, whose identities have not been made public, were located around 3am at the festival and were taken back to their homes in a taxi escorted by a police car.

What I’m dying to know is HOW they escaped. Did they just walk out and hail a cab? Kudos to these two senior citizens for living it up; well done, dudes!!

This year’s headliners include Judas Priest, Nightwish, In Flames, Ghost, Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodom and more. As usual, tickets sold at well in advance, with more than 75,000 attending.
