Metallica Planning Stadium Tour of Europe in 2019

Having just completed a 24-date European run and with a second North American tour planned for later this year and early next, it has recently come to light that Metallica are planning to give Europeans another fix in 2019.

Blabbermouth reports that the tour will play stadiums and run from May through September of next year, putting them in prime positioning to headline Europe’s major festivals. With a self-imposed limit of roughly 50 shows per year and the aforementioned second North American run taking up 14 of those, fans can expect between 25 and 35 chances to catch the band live on the European continent (and, presumably, the U.K.). The band could have plans to play in other parts of the world to close out 2019.
