Graveyard Explore Psilocybin-Assisted Death in Video for New Single “Please Don’t”
Graveyard made a run at the world record last year for shortest breakup ever when they announced they were reuniting (minus drummer Axel Sjöberg) just four months after issuing a teary-eyed statement about being done forever. The Swedish stoner rockers have taken the better part of the blissfully reunited past year to write a new album, and today we get to hear the fruits of that labor in the form of a new single called “Please Don’t.”
“Please Don’t” revolves around a looping, psychedelic riff and a high-flying, stonerrific chorus — standard fare for Graveyard, and we mean that in a good way. But it’s the video for the song that’s the most fun part in my book, featuring the members of the band in supporting roles as an elderly friend of theirs explores a revolutionary new method for passing gracefully into the afterworld. True to what you’d expect from Graveyard, there are some illicit substances involved, and… well, watch for yourself, I’m not gonna ruin it for you.
Graveyard’s new album Peace comes out on May 25th via Nuclear Blast.
