Exclusive: Aura Noir Announce Semi-Self-Titled Sixth Album, Debut New Song “Dark Lung of the Storm”

After six long years, the wait is nearly over: Norway’s Aura Noir will release their sixth full-length album on April 27 via Indie Recordings! Entitled simply Aura Noire — no, the ‘e’ at the end isn’t a typo! — the record offers just the sort of devious, potent, no-bullshit blackened thrash for which the band is known. Think Venom if Venom never lost any of their potency and you’ll have some idea of what you’re in for.

So, naturally, MetalSucks jumped at the chance to debut the first publicly-released track from Aura Noire, “Dark Lung of the Storm”!

“‘Dark Lung of the Storm’ is the opener on the album. The first sequence of riffs has this come-back vibe to it, though we haven’t come back, we’ve been here all the time. It’s the natural opener on the album.”
