Metallica are Announcing a Big Tour Tomorrow, Cities Revealed
This past Friday Metallica posted a tease with the lone word “Monday,” leading many to speculate that the band would be announcing a North American tour. Metallica currently have some European dates booked through May but nothing on the calendar after that, and by summer 2018 it will’ve been a year since they played here.
A couple of hours ago Metallica posted another update confirming that Monday’s announcement will be for a tour, unless you go to great metaphoric lengths to interpret the words “Monday Worldwired Tour” in some other way. The first leg of the Worldwired tour in North America saw the band play stadiums, so my bet’s on an arena run this coming summer (or more stadiums, if the demand is still there).
On top of that, many (or all?) of the venues Metallica will be playing have been posting the very same tease as Metallica on their social networks, 33 in total so far. Here’s a list of all the venues to do so via Blabbermouth:
