Turnstile “Don’t Wanna Be Blind” on New Track
“I Don’t Wanna Be Blind,” the latest of three tracks I’ve heard from Turnstile’s upcoming album Time & Space, is definitely my favorite of the bunch.
Whereas I found the previous two — “Real Thing” and “Generator” — to be a bit underwhelming (just one guy’s opinion, maaaaan, feel free to disagree), this one’s got everything that made fall so hard in love with this band’s 2015 full-length, Nonstop Feeling: a deep groove, giant-sized riffs and a catchy, singalong chorus that’s reminiscent of Jane’s Addiction and Helmet. Is it coincidental that it’s also a much slower-paced track? Probably not: I like this band a whole ton more when they mine the groovier side of things instead of referencing their faster hardcore influences.
Time & Space comes out February 23rd via Roadrunner; pre-order it here.
