Trivium Premiere New Song, “The Sin and The Sentence”
Update, 10:38 a.m.: A press release assures that “Trivium will return with a new album this fall, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks.” So this is, indeed, just the beginning. Huzzah!!!
As promised, Trivium released a new single at stroke of midnight EDT. The song is called “The Sin and The Sentence,” and you can check it out via the below video. Interestingly, while the digital single is now available via the usual outlets, there’s no information regarding a new album. Maybe the single is just it’s own, independent thing?
Regardless, “The Sin and The Sentence” is rad. It melds lots of classic Trivium tropes together into something fresh; it’s got a dash of Silence in the Snow, a pinch of Ascendency, a smidge of In Waves… you get the idea.
