Trivium Release Another Teaser Video — This One Including New Music

For the third time this week, Trivium have taken to social media to tease what we’re assuming is a new album (in case you missed ’em: first tease, second tease).

So that sounds pretty friggin’ promising.

Meanwhile, when the last teaser was posted, I theorized that the album is called VIII and wondered why the video was titled VIII.I. I based this assumption on the fact that Trivium’s next album will, indeed, be their eighth. But MS intern extraordinaire Mitch Winney theorizes that the number isn’t a title — it’s a release date. Meaning, presumably, that the single will come out on August 1. Both theories seem plausible to me: the album could be called VIII, and the first single could drop August 1. That’s Tuesday, so we’ll know for sure soon enough.
