Chester Bennington: Coroner Confirms Cause of Death, Says Half-Empty Alcohol Bottle Was Found at the Scene
Ed Winter, a spokesperson for The Los Angeles County coroner’s office, has confirmed what we’ve all been hearing for the past day: Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington died by hanging. Specifically, Bennington hung himself from a bedroom door in his home.
Winter also says that although authorities found a half-empty bottle of alcohol at the scene, no drugs were located. There was also no suicide note left.
Billboard reports that “An autopsy has not yet been scheduled,” but it’s not clear if that means one will definitely be scheduled or not.
