Ukranian Zoo Erects Statue of Slayer’s Tom Araya

I can’t think of any way to ease you into this news that will make it any less bizarre, so I’m just gonna blurt it out:

Zoo XII Months, which Trip Advisor tells me is “probably the best zoo in Ukraine,” has erected a statue of Tom Araya standing in front of a Slayer logo atop a platform into which these incorrect lyrics from “Dead Skin Mask” have been carved:

In the depth of a mind insane
Fantasy and reality are the same

For the record, it’s “In the depths,” plural, not “depth,” singular. NBD.

ANYWAY, the big question, of course, is: “Why the hell would you want a statue of Tom Araya with lyrics from ‘Dead Skin Mask’ in a zoo?” To which I say: “Why the hell WOULDN’T you want a statue of Tom Araya with lyrics from ‘Dead Skin Mask’ ANYWHERE?!?!”
