Scorpions and Megadeth Announce “Crazy World Tour” 2017 Dates
As rumored earlier this week after a date leaked out early, Scorpions and Megadeth will head out on a U.S. tour together this fall. This is presumably the tour that Dave Mustaine hinted at earlier this month when he said in an interview Megadeth would be opening for a band they’ve “never played with before.”
The “Crazy World Tour” is named after the Scorpion’s 1991 album Crazy World, although to our knowledge the Scorps aren’t planning to play that album in full.
This should be a great opportunity for both bands to get out in front of some new-old fans, people who are obviously aware of the other band’s existence but perhaps lost track of them over the years. For fans it should offer basically the same: like, what Megadeth fans can’t rock out to a few of the Scorpions’ greatest hits and vice versa?
