Watch Darkest Hour’s Entire Brooklyn Live Performance from Earlier This Week
Darkest Hour’s MetalSucks-sponsored tour with Rotten Sound and Rivers of Nihil (and, on select dates, Tombs) is now in progress! You really should not need any convincing to go see these dudes, but in case you do, lemme just tell you that Darkest Hour are better now than they’ve ever been… which is really saying something, given that they’ve been doing this for two decades. We got to see them play to a capacity crowd at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn on Tuesday night, and they blew the fucking roof off the place. The old shit sounded great. The new shit sounded great. They played for almost an hour and I sincerely could have watched them play twice as long.
At least now I can relive the magic, thanks to our pal Frank Huang from Max Volume Silence Live and Metal Injection, who captured the entire set on video. I’d be flabbergasted if you’re somehow still not persuaded to go see Darkest Hour perform after watching this. FLABBERGASTED.
Check out the video below. You can also watch full sets from Rotten Sound and Rivers of Nihil, plus footage of Withered and Immortal Bird, here. All upcoming dates on this tour are here. And do not forget that Darkest Hour’s ridiculously good new album, Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora, comes out March 10 on Southern Lord. I just got my vinyl copy and it sounds fucking amazing. Pre-order physical copies here and digital editions here or here.
