And the Title of the New Wintersun Album is…

The Forest Seasons.

Hm. Okay. What the fuck does THAT mean? Do forests have different seasons from other environments? (I know I’m a city kid, but I feel like someone would have brought that up in school.) Maybe it’s a concept album about a doo-wop group that lives in the woods?

Wintersun mastermind Jari Mäenpää isn’t much help in a statement:

“That’s right folks, we’ll leave you pondering a bit what this name means. Next week we’ll release the album tracklist and everything will become very clear to you! Promise!”

I can’t imagine how the tracklist will make things clear, but okay. Maybe one of the songs even explains why this album is coming out instead of Time II.
