Unearthly Trance Announce New Album, Release Debut Single
Unearthly Trance announced that they had played their “final show” in 2011, just months after releasing their last album, V. We weren’t clear at the time if that meant the New York-area doom band was breaking-up or just quitting touring. Honestly, I still don’t know exactly what happened.
But where Unearthly Trance have been doesn’t matter nearly as much as where they’re going, and where they’re going is to ROCK. The band has just announced a new album, Stalking the Ghost, and the first single, “Dream State Arsenal,” suggests it’s gonna be really, really good. Which isn’t a shock or anything — Unearthly Trance were always good, and Ghost was produced by Colin Marston (Krallice, Gorguts, etc.) to boot. Plus the band has been announced for next year’s Roadburn Festival, so that 2011 gig will no longer be their last. Clearly, Unearthly Trance are back!
Celebrate by listening to “Dream State Arsenal” below. Stalking the Ghost comes out February 24 on Relapse. Pre-order it here.
