System of a Down to Release New Album in 2017
Well, this oughta help make you feel at least a little better: as suspected, System of a Down have been working on a new album… and that album should see the light of day next year. From Lambgoat:
“In a new interview with Kerrang, drummer John Dolmayan says that the band has written fifteen tracks thus far during the last six months or so. Dolmayan says, ‘I want everyone on board and feeling good about it, that’s what we’re trying to accomplish right now. There’s a tremendous amount of pressure on us, though, because it’s been 11 years – at least 12 by the time it comes out.’”
Dolmayan went on to emphasize that the band is “not resting on our laurels” and “trying to make Toxicity Part II.”
The album doesn’t have an official release date yet, but hopefully it’s before January 20. After that, Trump could blow up the world at pretty much any point he likes.
