Exclusive Track Premiere: Dust Moth, “Corrections”
Dust Moth’s 2014 EP Dragon Mouth wowed not one, not two, but THREE MetalSucks writers upon its release two years ago. Surely we can’t all be droning on about the same band for no reason, right?
The Seattle outfit — now a four-piece, scaled down from six — return with a full-length album this year, so now’s your chance to judge whether the MetalSucks Mansion water supply is contaminated with PCP or not. We think you’ll agree that we’re (mostly) sane: Dust Moth combine elements of classic rock, trippy prog and an innate heaviness that doesn’t scream brutality — despite the gargantuan riffs — so much as it does gravitas. It’s a singular sound that, together with the band’s fine-tuned sense of melody, will be impossible for listeners of any taste to ignore.
Listen to “Corrections” below. Scale comes out July 22nd via The Mylene Sheath; pre-order here.
