Body Count To Release New Album In 2017, Cover “Raining Blood” Like A Fucking Boss
Fucking Body Count, man. If you’d told me when I was a teenager that I’d be writing about a new Body Count album while watching them cover Slayer, I’d have said, “There’s no way that’s going to happen, but it’s an awesome idea.” But here we fucking are.
First off, Blabbermouth reports that the band has officially announced their new album as Bloodlust, which is set to come out in 2017 on Century Media Records. Which is cool. I like these one-word album titles, like 2014’s Manslaughter. It gets right to the point, just like Body Count’s music.
Meanwhile, frontman and New York City sex crimes cop Ice-T posted the following on Twitter. It’s a test of the live streaming app Periscope, and it shows Body Count in the studio hanging out and messing around with some riffs. Which is all nice and fun… until the band covers Slayer’s “Raining Blood” and absolutely kiiills it. Ice-T himself even does well with Tom Araya’s barked vocals.
Watch the video below, with “Raining Blood” starting at the 4:45 mark.
