Behemoth and Taake Also Scattered Fan’s Ashes At a Chicago Show
Yesterday, we hailed Dying Fetus for pouring the ashes of an Illinois fan named Nick into the pit during his favorite DF track, “Homicidal Retribution.”
Except it seems that Nick’s remains weren’t spread through only one show–his friend David Rich has actually been taking portions of Nick’s ashes to various metal shows around Chicago and asking bands to pour his remains into the pit. Below you’ll find video of both Behemoth and Taake scattering Nick’s ashes at their shows.
A lot of fans responded well to our post about Dying Fetus yesterday, agreeing with us that it was the most metal thing imaginable to have your ashes scattered at a show (and to mosh in the ashes of the dead). I think it’s even cooler that Nick’s body was scattered across the shows of several metal genres. But maybe it makes it, I don’t know, less special for Nick to dedicate his last remains to several bands rather than just one. What do you guys think?
