Here’s the Latest on the New Tool Album

So Blabbermouth says that the moderator of Tool’s official website says this is the status of the band’s new album, which is approaching Chinese Democracy levels of ridiculous anticipation:

“At this stage of the writing/arranging process… there are only a couple of ‘shorter’ songs left to complete (?), along with a segue or two or three. Of course, we need to keep in mind any changes that might be needed to accommodate the vocals, etc., once all of the arrangements are finished.”

I really hope he means “segues” as in “transitions within songs,” not “segues” as in “white noise 99% of all listeners will skip after one listen,” because there was a lot of that on 10,000 Days.

Oh, who am I kidding? They can put as much white noise as they want on the album. I just want it to be released before my friend’s newborn daughter hits menopause. And this “update” doesn’t sound all that promising.

Goddamnit.
