Exclusive Cinemetal Premiere: Uada’s “Devoid of Light”
Rarely does everyone agree in our Comments section, but when I posted “Black Autumn, White Spring” by Portland black metallers Uada back in January, the response was unanimous: these guys are fantastic. Uada delivery a fantastic distillation of Portland’s black metal legacy, merging the fearsomness of Infernus with the ethereality of Agalloch.
Today, we’re proud to premiere the video for “Devoid of Light,” the title track from Uada’s upcoming full-length album. Directed by Tim Keenan Burgess, the video is a flowing mixture of psychedelic black magic imagery and footage of the forest in all its dramatic natural grandeur.
Watch “Devoid of Light” below. Uada’s upcoming album of the same name comes out this Friday on Eisenwald Records. The band also heads out on a West Coast tour Friday alongside Witchaven and Imperial Triumphant, so anyone on the West Coast should scroll down and mark your calendars with one of the dates on the tour banner below.
