Cobalt Break More Than Just Cold with “Cold Breaker”
Cobalt’s new song, “Cold Breaker,” oughta be called “Mold Breaker”: as Metal Injection points out, while Cobalt are traditionally known as a black metal project, this song is really “a lot more blackened rock n’ roll.” It doesn’t quite sound like anything from Nachtmystium’s Black Meddle albums, but it’s the same kind of shift in vibe that had Blake Judd’s fans ready to revoke his Tr00 Kvlt card. Hopefully, everyone will be a lot more open-minded about “Cold Breaker,” because it’s a rrrreeeaaaallllyyyy cool song.
Check out “Cold Breaker” below. It will appear on Cobalt’s new double-album, Slow Forever, which comes out this Friday, March 18 on Profound Lore. Pre-order it here.
