Zakk Wylde Will Now Play You Black Sabbath’s “N.I.B.” on a Hello Kitty Guitar

For a long time, metal musicians were judged by their speed and voracity. Then, in the late 90s, number of strings and size of kit were the markers for rock stardom. But in the age of Babymetal, the bar for a TRUE metal musician is whether or not they can crush it on a Hello Kitty instrument. Mike Portnoy set the stage; now, it’s Zakk Wylde’s turn.

Loudwire has created this video of Wylde playing the Black Sabbath classic “N.I.B.” on a Hello Kitty guitar. The song itself is in the vein of much of Wylde’s acoustic material like that on Hangover Music Vol. VI. But it’s the addition of the Ozzy Kitties and that garish neon pink of that guitar that really makes this a must-see. Who knows? Maybe Wylde will take it on the road like Portnoy did.
