Video: Metal Song with a Bass Made out of a Shovel

Speaking of single string bass solos: what happens when you wire a pickup onto a regular, garden-variety shovel?

Rob Scallon found out exactly that when he shot a video using an instrument grafted onto a shovel — an EMG pickup, volume/tone knobs, and one big, burly bass string. Yeah, the whole concept is completely ridiculous, and so is the video, but it sure seems like these guys had a ton of fun doing it. Put that in your kvlt bowl of Br00tal-O’s and stuff it.

The instrument itself was made by Scallon’s friend Bob, of YouTube channel iliketomakestuff, and a video showing that process will be posted on March 3rd.
