Killswitch Engage: New Album Title Revealed!

Following last week’s release of the lead single “Strength of Mind,” Killswitch Engage have now revealed the title of their new album in the latest, Star Wars-themed issue of Revolver. And that title is (drumroll, please)… Incarnate!

And why, pray tell, did they choose this title? Says vocalist Jesse Leach:

“The definition of incarnate is ‘in the flesh.’ And this record is who we are right now. Whereas [2013’s] ‘Disarm the Descent’ was sort of my ‘comeback’ album, and was about us feeling out the new vibe. But now, after spending a few years traveling the world together, I think we’re all in a really comfortable place. We definitely have a strong sense of self as to who we are as a band.”

According to the Encyclopedia Metallum, this will be the ninth metal album titled Incarnate to be released since 1999. I don’t think Killswitch need to worry about SEO or whatever, though. Something tells me they’re not in any danger of accidentally losing business to Pantokrator or Marantha. Just a hunch.
