Here’s The First New Void of Sleep Jam
Praise spoils the immature, that’s why it’s not all bad that awesome band Void of Sleep got their fancy gear stolen by the participants of a contest to pillage a cargo van within fart-smelling distance of a police station. Yeah, a setback like that tends to ground the super-praised, so we listeners can count on a fierce second album — not a Lakers-style letdown — after a big win their 2013 debut. They might look back on it as a “turning point” and laugh someday. That’s my vibe anyway.
Get ready to agree, for below is that second album’s first new song, “Hidden Revelations” (via The Obelisk). It is not the work of the confused or complacent; Void of Sleep is locked in. Is now a good time to propose a tour with Voivod and Tool? Crank it up!
Void of Sleep’s New World Order is out October 18 (digital) and November 13 via Aural. Pre-order here.
