Motorhead: Dallas and Houston Concerts Canceled Due to Lemmy’s Health
Allow me to spin the announcement that two more Motorhead gigs have been canceled as GOOD news, instead of adding to the depressing train of events we’ve been watching unfold over the past week regarding Lemmy’s health:
If Lemmy was truly, really in horrible shape, they’d just pull the whole tour down, wouldn’t they? Clearly Lemmy, his handlers and his doctors believe that the man is on the road to recovery. Why keep stringing folks along otherwise?
Without any pressure to deliver in Dallas tonight and Houston tomorrow, Lemmy can just focus on resting up and healing and getting ready to resume the tour Tuesday night in St. Louis. With two off-days following, that’ll be FOUR days of rest in a row, plus the last couple he’s already taken.
So this is really good news, methinks. The tour will go on! Call it wishful thinking, but I’m sticking with it.
