Proof You Can Play Death Metal on a Small Drum Kit

The good news: Decrepit Birth will hit the studio next week to start recording their new album! By the time it comes out it’ll have been nearly six years since the release of Polarity.

The bad news: UPS lost Samus Paulicelli’s huge box of hardware, leaving him with a very limited drum kit with which to record.

But don’t worry! Not only does Samus have replacement hardware lined up, but he decided to make the best of the situation by recording a video that proves you don’t need a 10,000 piece kit to record death metal; four pieces and one of each kind of cymbal will do just fine!

Watch below as Samus plows through a song he’s calling “4-piece Jumbalump,” then get stoked on the idea of new Decrepit Birth in [hopefully] early 2016.
