Glenn Danzig Puts Jackass Fame Whore In Headlock

Danzig has a strict No Camera policy at his shows, and in the past he’s gone to stupid, extreme measures to enforce it. However, in this instance, we can’t really hate him for his actions.

Navid Farsi is a dickhead attention whore/wannabe celebrity who once covered the lead singer of Maroon 5 with a bunch of powdered sugar and threw a rock at The Rock. This time around, aware of Danzig’s distaste for photography, he decided to show up to a Danzig show with his camera on, prompting the singer to take the phone away mid-show. It’s only after the performance, when Farsi put a camera in Danzig’s face again, that things got ugly. Let’s watch:

Charming on all fronts.

On the one hand, Danzig needs to calm the fuck down. The dude must have security — he should’ve just walked away and asked someone to escort this dickbag out of the venue. Come on, Glenn, this guy just wants to get a rise out of you.

On the other, Farsi approached a man prone to violent overreactions who doesn’t like cameras and shoved a camera in his face. He’s lucky he only got put in a headlock. It’s funny that Blabbermouth, where we found this story, lists Glenn as putting a “fan” in a headlock because even if Farsi is a Danzig fan, that’s not why he did what he did.

I went to a liberal arts college, and I knew so many assholes who did this kind of shit in the name of confrontational art. They’d do a bunch of mushrooms, ruin someone’s dance recital by getting up and screaming political statistics, film it, and then present it as “daring” or whatever. Don’t you see? That rush you felt when you saw me — that’s true art! No, that’s you being an asshole. That rush I feel is hatred. I hope you outlive your kids.

Anyway, I suppose getting put in a vicious headlock by a 60-year-old man is punishment enough.
