World Mourns as Emmure Pulls Out of The Gathering of the Juggalos
Guys, I’ve got some bad news. Are you sitting down? Probably, right, because this is a blog. If you’re on your phone, sit down. This is going to shake you. Emmure has dropped off the Gathering of the Juggalos. I know. It’s okay, let it all out.
According to this tweet by ICP, the band had to drop out of the festival due to problems with Frankie Palimeri’s vocals cords:
@EMMUREmusic has to withdraw from the Gathering due to health issues but our stoned homies @PotluckMusic will B N effect. Frankie get well!

Thank God Potluck are going to be replacing Emmure. They’ve got a similar sense of wisdom and progressiveness to them.
To be fair, Frankie tore a vocal cord earlier this year, thereby proving him not a space reptile, and that shit’s gotta hurt. The road to recovery appears to be long, too, as the band’s been canceling tours due to his health for about six months now. That said, Robb Flynn boiled in his own deuce weeks after losing his gallbladder, so, you know, maybe it’s all about determination.
Anyway, I know most of our readership was excited to see Emmure at the Gathering, so I’m sorry to be the bearer of such bad news. Hopefully it won’t ruin your festival year. After all, there’s always Hellyeah at Mayhem Fest!
