You’ve been hearing about KEN Mode’s new album Success for weeks and weeks already, whatwith our incessant ramblings on how the band’s gone all AmRep noise rock on us. We like this twist of directions very much — not that there was anything wrong with KEN Mode’s prior sound, which we also quite enjoyed — and MS reviewer “Gore Vidal” does too, as he stated in his official write-up of the album. It’s an adventurous pivot in today’s metal climate, but it’s one that works given KEN Mode’s roots and current position in the scene.
