Exclusive EP Stream: Chiildren, The Circle Narrows

Los Angeles based Chiildren describe themselves as a “porn-star-industrial-metal duo,” which is not an exaggeration or a gimmick: the band features Chad Fjerstad (ex-Dead to Fall) and Christopher Zeischegg — who you might know better from their on-screen work as “Chad Alva” and “Danny Wylde.” 

Part of that whole “not a gimmick” thing is that Chiildren are genuinely fantastic, which is why we’ve been covering them since 2013. Their mix of synth-heavy industrial music, heavy metal grit and infectious hooks is as good as it is unlikely. That it’s all brought together by the production of Michael Keene from The Faceless to give it a metal sheen is the icing on the cake. Metal purists probably won’t find much here, but Chiildren are fun, intriguing, unique and just plain fucking good through and through.
