TesseracT Live DVD Looks Like It’ll be Pretty Awesome
Seeing TesseracT live is like watching a fleet of airplanes soar across the sky in perfect formation — it’s a sight to behold, and the band is tight, tight, tight, every single time. The sound is perfect, the presentation is flawless, they’re fun to watch — they’re just great all around. I get why some people don’t appreciate that — “I didn’t come to the show to hear the CD” and all that — but man, you’re missing out.
TesseracT’s upcoming live audio/vet set Odyssey/Scala oughtta be pretty cool for those who appreciate the ‘RacT’s mesmerizing live show. Odyssey, the audio portion was recorded live during various stops in the autumn of 2014 throughout Europe and Russia on the Altered State World Tour while Scala, the video portion, was filmed live on November 6th, 2014 at Scala in London.
Check out the video of “Concealing Fate Part 2 & 3” from the EP of the same name below. Sounds fucking stellar, amirite? Daniel Tompkins sounds on point here, even though I’m an admitted Ashe O’Hara fan.
Odyssey/Scala will be available as a CD/DVD Digipak, a 2LP/DVD combo and in digital formats. The set comes out via Century Media on May 19, 2015.
Oh hey also: TesseracT recently played inside a giant igloo! Coldest metal concert ever. Watch that performance here.
