Best of SXSW 2015: Zubaz

If there’s one thing that SXSW is best for, it’s that you can look to the festival to predict all the new trends for the coming year. The hot, new fashion style for 2015 was easy to spot: Zubaz! The early ’90s mainstay of hipness was pretty much everywhere; you couldn’t even turn around on E. 6th St. without seeing someone proudly sporting a pair. The trend was so ubiquitous that some folks on Twitter took to lovingly rebranding the festival #ZBZW, which was all too appropriate given how fucking fabulous everyone looked.

Metal Injection’s Rob Pasbani, me, and two of our good friends joined in on the Zubaz fun, got very drunk and shot a video on E. 6th St. where we reveled in the Zubaz-crazed madness. Brett from Revocation also stars in this video with his patented can of Pringles and… well, I don’t wanna ruin it for you. The music of the one and only Myrone provides the soundtrack, naturally.
