Here are the Dates for Babymetal’s 2015 World Tour (+ New Costumes??)
While we were busy fawning over one pop + metal confectionary treat last week, my favorite such act of 2014 went and made a big announcement that no one Stateside seemed to notice: Babymetal are going on another world tour!
Perhaps the media silence can be attributed to the lack of either an NYC or LA tour date; Babymetal’s two U.S. stops include a club show in Chicago and an appearance at Rock on the Range in Ohio, a festival with a historically mook-ish lineup that looks as if it’s got several decent acts lined up this year. But no harm no foul; we saw Babymetal play NYC this past November and we loved every single damn minute of it.
Fans in Toronto, Mexico City, Germany and Vienna, Austria will also get to witness Babymetal’s enchanting live show this time around. Japanese fans get one on the Summer Solstice too, although the show is at a convention center outside of Tokyo, so we’re not sure what’s going on with that.
Say, what’s up with Babymetal’s garb in the tour admat and the new catch phrase “The Dark Knights Begin?” Could these be a preview of the new stage show, or perhaps even a new single and/or album teaser? Or am I reading way too much into the marketing campaign for a group of 15-year-olds? Do I care that you guys keep calling me a pedo?
