Sons of Northern Darkness, The Animated Series: Why Wasn’t THIS Airing Saturday Mornings When I Was a Kid?
Nancy Pagan Animation, the creators of that totally bizarre “He-Man Sings Mercyful Fate” video from last year, have returned with another metal-friendly cartoon: Sons of Northern Darkness, which is apparently going to be a regular series.
As you can probably guess from the title, the show is Immortal-related. The specific premise is as follows:
“In the fall of 1995, Black Metal band, Immortal, set out to make a string of music videos for their upcoming album. With little to no-budget, they walked into the woods outside their hometown of Bergen, Norway, never to be seen again. This is their story.”
Which is obviously totally ridiculous, but in the best possible way. If the line “Lunch is for pussies and Metallica” doesn’t make you laugh, you might be dead inside. Watch:
