Juicy Tour Rumor: Karnivool to Hit the U.S. This Spring with The Contortionist?
UPDATE, February 10, 11:38am: The Dallas date has been canceled and ticket money has been refunded, so it seems as if this tour will not be happening. Details here.
Original Post:
MetalSucks reader Blayne S. excitedly emailed us earlier this week with a link to the website of the Dallas, TX venue Trees, which is promoting an April 18th show by Australian wonder-rockers Karnivool with The Contortionist, With Our Arms to the Sun and Moving Atlas in support. In the event that link is pulled by the time you get to this, we’ve posted a screen shot below.
This is huge news because: 1) No official announcement for any U.S. tour dates has been made yet, and the band’s Facebook and other properties make no mention of it, 2) It’s been hella long since they toured the U.S., 3) Karnivool live are a sight and sound to behold; SO tight, so pro. Theirs is a show you most definitely want to go out of your way to see.
Tickets for the Dallas show go on sale tomorrow right here; expect a full tour announcement then, or perhaps even later today. The fellas just returned home from a tour of India.
In the meantime, listen to Karnivool’s 2009 album Sound Awake in full below.
