Marduk Wrote a Song About Star Trek: The Next Generation!

Hey, don’t get me wrong, I love Marduk’s music. But this black metal band from Switzerland makes too many fuckin’ pop culture references, like there were Iwrestledwithhaironce or something, y’know? I’m already looking the other way about the fact that they named themselves after a cartoon dog, ’cause I love reading the funnies in the paper every day. But now they’ve gone and written a song about Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation, called “Worfland,” and as good as the song is, I just can’t support some shit about some other shit that only geeks like. Fuck that. Bring me a REAL black metal band that sings about REAL shit, like Cradle of Filth!!!

Marduk’s new album, Frontschwein, comes out January 19 on Century.
