Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About The Identical Harp Twins, Camille and Kennerly

If you frequent the Metalwebs with any degree of regularity you’ve surely come across The Harp Twins — aka Camille and Kennerly, the identical twin, harp-playing duo  — over the past few years. Their dual-harp covers of songs by Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Guns N’ Roses and more have racked up millions of views on YouTube, and their videos are incredibly creepy yet hard to ignore — there’s something bizarrely fascinating about the concept of two identical twins playing harp, dancing and LOOKING RIGHT INTO YOUR EYES.

While watching The Harp Twins’ latest — a cover of Blind Guardian’s “The Bard Song” (below) — I got to wondering: where are these girls from? Where were these videos shot? WHO ARE THEY?? In my mind’s eye I imagined them growing up in the fairytale landscape of Switzerland, riding their horses and frolicking around the rolling hills by day, singing lullabies to one another by night.

And then I discovered the “About” tab of their Facebook page, which answers all those questions and more in the form of a mammoth 40-question FAQ section! Turns out they’re not from Switzerland; they’re from Chicago (!) and they’re of mostly Norwegian heritage. They ALWAYS wear the same outfits unless they “need to dress differently for a commercial/film/media project.” They’re classically trained musicians. And they are available for hire to play your birthday party, Bar Mitzvah or funeral.

A. We ALWAYS reply to everything ourselves and have never hired anyone to run our social media sites. We know that most artists reply to very few posts, but we very much appreciate the support we receive from our wonderful fans and respond to every comment/post that we’re able. Our fans are the BEST!
