Video: NOFX Singer Kicks a Fan in the Face On Stage
Hey, metal and punk fans: stage-diving — DON’T DO IT! How many times we we have to tell you??
At a recent NOFX show in Sydney, Australia, a fan climbed onto the stage and lovingly put his arms around singer Fat Mike. The levity of the moment was lost on the singer, as he promptly knocked the fan down and then kicked him in the face before security could grab and escort him off the stage. Watch video of the incident below.
While Mike may have overreacted, it’s hard to blame members of famous bands for reacting aggressively in these kinds of situations. Four words: Dimebag Darrell and Randy Blythe (although the latter could just as easily serve as a counter-example for why Fat Mike should’ve done nothing).
But at least this story has a happy ending: the fan was not seriously hurt, and he and Fat Mike made up and apologized to one another over Twitter, embedded below the video. Oh, the civility!

I’m sorry too Alex, I was in terrible pain all night. When you grabbed me by the neck I defensively reacted… offensively @alexanderpeterq
