These Animated .GIF Metal Album Covers are Mesmerizing

Metal Insider has hipped us to the very talented artist JB, whose animated .gif versions of famous album covers are not just well-executed but incredibly clever.

I’m not sure what’s more amazing: how good these are, or the fact that no one has thought to do it yet. In this day and age of digital everything I’m kinda shocked no band has released an animated .gif as their primary album cover — someone oughtta get on that!

JB covers a variety of different kinds of music (with an emphasis on ’90s punk, it seems), but here are a few metal gems:
