Municipal Waste / Iron Reagan’s Tony Foresta Interviews the Five Bands of Converse Rubber Tracks x MetalSucks 2014
This past summer we hand-picked five unsigned bands to record for a day each with producer Will Putney at Converse Rubber Tracks, Converse’s state-of-the-art studio in Brooklyn that’s available year-round for ANY band to record at for one day, completely free of charge. Those five bands — Blackest, Bardus, Extinction A.D., Fulgora and Resilience — all completely knocked it out of the park, and you can listen to the finished songs they recorded right here (the Fulgora track is coming soon, we promise).
Since we were able to rope Municipal Waste into headlining the live showcase with this year’s CRTxMetalSucks bands, we wrangled frontman Tony Foresta — always quite the entertaining character — to interview all of the bands. We also got some footage of the studio itself and some words of wisdom from producer Will Putney, who did a bang-up job recording, producing, mixing and mastering these sessions. Thanks to our bro-bros at Metal Injection for putting together this footage.
