Old Man Gloom Give You “The Lash”

What might happen if you replaced the well-trained conductor of a massive locomotive with a monkey on LSD, armed with a large hammer to fend off anyone who attempts to usurp him? “The Lash,” the first song to be released from Old Man Gloom’s new album The Ape of God, answers this question, viscerally if not actually. As far as I can tell from the absolutely CRUSHING riffs and the way the song kinda sputters to a halt at the end, things go well for the monkey, but maybe not so much for the passengers. Bummer, passengers! Yay, rest of us!!!
