The Heaviest Thing Will Hear on the Internet Today: Black Tongue, “Falsifier”

Slow is the new fast. If you wanna be heavy in this day and age of hyper-speed everything… slow… it… the… fuck… down!

Also: dramatic pick scrapes. Morbid Angel perfected the art, Gojira took it a step further, and now it’s the de-facto uber-heavy thing to do.

Black Tongue have done all the right things on “Falsifier,” a heavy-as-fuqq track from an EP of the same name that’ll be reissued by their new label Century Media in September (along with their other EP, Born Hanged, on one combo release).

Good lord this shit is heavy. It’s like a herd of elephants crossing paths with another herd of elephant, then joining together with each other for one massive royal rumpus of elephants crushing all inferior beings with the fury of… a lot of angry elephants.

I hope the rest of the two reissued EPs are like “Falsifier” and don’t verge too far into deathcore territory, which I could see being a thing. Presumably we’ll get a new full length out of Black Tongue at some point in 2015.
