Listen to the New Darkest Hour Song “By the Starlight”
The evidence that Darkest Hour’s new, self-titled album isn’t just going to be the same ol’ same ol’ for the band continues to pile up. The latest exhibit: the gorgeous “By the Starlight,” which features acoustic guitars, the greatest percentage of John Henry clean vocals I can recall in a single DH tune, and a guest appearance from DRÆMINGS, a decidedly non-metal artist whose work has been described as “a cross between ’90s pop and dreamy R&B” that “is ethereal yet dark at the same time.” This ain’t your older brother’s Darkest Hour.
I love, love, LOVE this song. I’ve yet to hear all Darkest Hour, but what I’ve heard so far makes me feel confident this is going to be the band’s finest offering in some time. So. STOKED.
