Did You Know that Jani Lane was in Motörhead?
I wasn’t at The Revolver Golden Gods Awards last night, and in all likelihood, neither were you. Vince was there, so he may have some fun stories to share when he gets back to NYC. In the meantime, I read about this on Metal Insider and thought it was hilarious, so I felt compelled to share…
So, apparently, Zakk Wylde performed “In This River,” the song he wrote about the death of Dime, for a montage honoring deceased musicians. A beautiful thought, to be sure… except that for some reason, they credited late Warrant vocalist Jani Lane as being a member of Motörhead.
Because they also paid tribute to former Motörhead guitarist Würzel, it seems clear that someone just goofed when making the graphics. Still, this is not an insignificant error, and it’s really kind of amazing that nobody caught it. Unless they did it on purpose… Lane did come to hate Warrant, y’know. He probably would have been much happier to be in Motörhead.
