Exclusive Premiere: Enthroned, “The Edge of Agony”

Remember what we told you about new Enthroned music? How their newer material is some of the best work of their storied ten-album career? Well now we’re putting our money where our collective mouths are and we’re exclusively streaming a song from Enthroned’s new album Sovereigns called “The Edge of Agony.”

“The Edge of Agony” truly lives up to its name, like a musical onomatopoeia of sorts. It’s rooted in black metal — always Enthroned’s foundation — but its a whole lot more eccentric and crazy, and it feels like the whole thing might just slide off the rails at any moment. Enthroned have truly one-upped themselves; they’ve evolved in all the right ways. Check out the song below, and take a listen to “Of Feathers and Flames” as well if you missed it in February.
