Suffokate Vocalist Matthew Krawchuk is Missing

Update, 3/17: Krawchuck has apparently been located… although where exactly he got off to is still unknown. Get details here.

Suffokate vocalist Matthew Aaron Scott Krawchuk, a.k.a. “Matty Kay,” has been missing since the band played at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA last night, Friday, March 14. Reports the band via their Facebook page:

This is the photo to which the band is referring; it was taken by I The Leviathan drummer Riley Hughes, who notes that “Assuming he didn’t change clothes since the show,” Kay would still be wearing the same thing:

One fan reports that Kay recently expressed feelings of inadequacy on his personal Facebook page (e.g., “I’m not good enough for this gig, I’m letting the band and their fans down, etc.”), but the post has since been deleted.

I know we give Suffokate and Kay a lot of shit here at MetalSucks, but it should be obvious that we wish them no physical harm. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, we encourage you to contact either Suffokate or the Santa Cruz Police Department. Hopefully Kay is safe and sound, “going to the store” was his equivalent of “going for a pack of cigarettes,” and he’s located soon.
